Italian Pizza Recipe



Ingredients:


~3 cups of flour

~1 tsp of salt

~1 tsp of sugar

~1 package of active dry yeast

~1 and 1/2 cups of warm water

~2 tbsp of olive oil

~1 cup of tomato sauce

~1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

~2 tbsp of grated Parmesan cheese

~1 tsp of dried oregano

Toppings of your choice (such as pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, etc.)

Instructions: 


1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.

2. In a separate small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.

3.Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

6.Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

7.Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

8.Place the dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.

9.Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

10.Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese over the sauce.

11.Add your desired toppings.

12.Sprinkle the oregano over the pizza.

13.Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

14.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
